Drywall Services
Professional Drywall Repair Services
Holes from doorknobs, cracks over doorways, ceilings stained by an old leak, sections opened up by a plumber, or a patch someone else didn't get right — RDS repairs damaged walls and ceilings in homes and commercial spaces and works to blend each repair into the surrounding finish.
Wall and ceiling repairs that blend in
The hard part of drywall repair isn't filling the hole — it's making the repaired area look like the rest of the wall once it's painted. That takes solid backing, properly taped joints, joint compound feathered out wide, and a texture that matches what's already there. We handle each of those steps.
We repair walls and ceilings in houses, condos, apartments, offices, and retail spaces. Typical jobs include drywall hole repair, cracked drywall at corners and seams, nail pops, damaged corner bead, openings left after plumbing or electrical work, and replacing damaged drywall after a leak has been fixed by the appropriate trade.
We also fix earlier repairs that were done poorly. One of our customers in Torrance hired us to redo a texture repair another drywaller had left behind, and we retextured the walls and ceilings to match the existing finish.

Repair or Replace Drywall?
Not every damaged wall needs new drywall. Small holes, minor cracks, nail pops, and dents are often handled with a localized patch, tape, and joint compound, then blended into the surrounding finish.
Replacing a section is usually the better option when drywall is soft, crumbling, sagging, or has been exposed to water, when the damage covers a large area, or when a previous patch keeps failing. In those cases we cut out the damaged board back to solid framing and install new drywall.
Every wall is different, so we look at the damage in person before recommending an approach. We'll explain what we see and why we suggest patching or replacing, so you can decide with the full picture.
How We Work
- 01
Inspect the damaged area
We look at the damage and its likely cause so we understand what the repair needs to address.
- 02
Choose the right repair
We decide whether a patch will do or whether a larger section should be cut out and replaced, and explain why.
- 03
Repair or replace
Damaged board is patched or removed, and new drywall is secured to framing or proper backing.
- 04
Tape & finish
Joints are taped, coated, and feathered wide to reduce ridges or outlines under paint.
- 05
Match the texture
Where the wall or ceiling is textured, we match the existing texture as closely as possible.
- 06
Prepare for paint
The repaired area is sanded and left ready for its final finish, and we clean up before we leave.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you handle small drywall repairs?
Yes. Call or send us a quick description or photo and we'll let you know what's involved, even if it's just a few holes.
Can you repair drywall after a leak?
Yes, once the leak itself has been fixed and the area has dried out. We don't do plumbing or water damage restoration, but we can remove the damaged drywall, replace it, and finish and texture it to match.
Will the repair show after I paint?
Our goal is a repair that blends in. We feather the joint compound wide and match the existing texture. Lighting, paint sheen, and the condition of the surrounding wall can affect how a repair looks, and we'll talk through that with you.
Can you match my existing wall or ceiling texture?
In most cases, yes. We match common textures like orange peel, knockdown, and smooth finishes. We'll look at your texture during the estimate and let you know what to expect.
Do you repair drywall in commercial spaces?
Yes. We repair walls and ceilings in offices, retail spaces, and other commercial properties, and can coordinate timing around your business.
Do you paint after the repair?
We leave the repaired area finished and ready for paint. Ask about painting when you request your estimate and we'll let you know what we can include.
