Drywall Taping, Mudding & Finishing
Taping and mudding is where drywall goes from rough board to a finished wall. RDS tapes, coats, and sands seams and corners to the finish level your project needs — so nothing shows through the paint.
Seams and corners you'll never notice
Visible seams, bubbling tape, and rough corners are almost always taping problems. Proper taping means bedding the tape fully, building up coats gradually, and feathering each coat wide enough that the joint disappears.
We finish drywall from Level 1 (fire taping in areas that won't be seen) through Level 5 (a full skim coat for walls under strong light). Most painted living spaces call for Level 4; we'll recommend the right level for each area of your project.
We tape and finish new drywall that we hang, and we also finish board hung by others — useful for owner-builders and contractors who need a dependable finishing crew.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you finish drywall that someone else hung?
Yes. We can tape and finish board hung by homeowners and other contractors after checking that the hang is ready for finishing.
Which finish level do I need?
Most painted rooms need Level 4. Areas with strong side lighting or glossy paint often benefit from Level 5. Garages and utility spaces may need less.
Do you tape and finish drywall you install?
Yes. Taping and finishing is part of every drywall installation we do, so new walls and ceilings are finished to the level you choose.
How do you control dust from sanding?
We protect floors and furnishings, contain the work area, and clean up thoroughly at the end of the job.
